The Lakhta Center

Lakhta Center is a multi-purpose building complex in the Saint Petersburg district of Lakhta, directly on the northern shore of the Gulf of Finland. In addition to its core function as Gazprom’s headquarters, a significant area of the buildings and surrounding land is earmarked for public and recreational infrastructure.

Tallest Building in Europe & LEED Platinum Certification

As of January 2018, the Lakhta Center skyscraper is the tallest building in Europe (462 m). Work on the foundation and basement floors was already completed in 2015. During the concreting of the tower foundation, a new world record for the largest uninterrupted concreting was achieved with 19,624 m³, which was entered in the Guinness Book of Records.

In December 2018, the Lakhta Center was certified according to LEED Platinum.
