West Kowloon Cultural District
The West Kowloon Cultural District is prominently located in the heart of Hong Kong. A new urban district with various cultural facilities, flats and office space is to be built on the 40.1 ha brownfield site. The entire project is subject to strict sustainability requirements.
Strict Sustainability Requirements for the Project
The creation of a lively outdoor space and the connection to the surrounding neighbourhoods are particularly important criteria. Werner Sobek was responsible for the entire sustainability consultancy. The services provided include studies to optimise the microclimate, environmental impact studies and sustainable building concepts.
