"Us together"
This is the motto of a film that some of our colleagues put together as a surprise for our 30th anniversary celebration at the Mercedes-Benz Museum. More than 400 faces of people from the most diverse backgrounds ran across the screen here in just a few minutes – a wonderful testament to the diversity of all those who work at and with Werner Sobek on the topics of engineering, design and sustainability. For me, it was a wonderful moment that I will remember for a long time.
The tasks we dedicate ourselves to are as diverse as the people in our company. On this page we would like to give you a first impression of what it means to be part of our team: Where (and how) we work, what is important to us, what benefits we offer. And if there are any questions that are not answered here, just write to career@wernersobek.com. An overview of our open positions can be found here.
I am looking forward to getting to know you personally.
Miriam Mann
Head of HR
P.S.: By the way – we are pleased to have received an award from the Stuttgart Chamber of Industry and Commerce for our outstanding training performance.

Work
After her parental leave, Alexandra Dietze was offered the opportunity to lead a team. In this film, she explains how she masters this task with home office and a part-time job for family reasons (and why she feels so comfortable with Werner Sobek).
Flexible Working Hours |
Full-time employees work 40 hours a week. Outside our core hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), you’ll have the freedom to choose when you work. On Fridays, you’re also welcome to start your weekend early from noon. |
Personal Opportunities for Further Training and Development |
We offer a wide variety of opportunities for further training and development. Learning from expert talks by your colleagues, in various working groups, at the WS Academy and from external seminars is an es-tablished part of everyday life at our company. |
Good Transport Links |
Want to get to work, emissions-free? No problem! Our colleagues can save time and hassle — and do the environment a favour — by travelling to the office on public transport. |
The Social Area |
Meet up with your workmates to unwind, eat lunch and play some table football. We provide the space you need to network and get to know one another on a personal level. |
Team/Company Events |
Numerous team and company events — like our summer party, work outings and the Christmas festivities — give you the chance to network and get to know each other better. In addition, a variety of after-work-events offer an exciting opportunity to network and gain an insight into one project or another. |
Life
Moritz Brombacher was already supported by Werner Sobek through the socalled Deutschlandstipendium during his studies. We are all the more pleased to welcome him as an important team member in the field of sustainability after his internship and subsequent master’s thesis. He tells his whole story in this film.
Food & Drink |
Fruit, water and a selection of speciality coffees with (oat) milk are all provided free of charge for our employees to enjoy. You can buy lunch from a number of supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and other outlets in the local area. |
Sport |
We offer a wide range of ways for you to get active. We’re also delighted to organise and cover the costs of a variety of sporting events — including half marathons, for example. Even die-hard athletes will get their pulses racing here! In addition: a yoga-group is to be launched in summer 2024. |
Bike Leasing Scheme |
Getting some exercise on the way to work doesn’t have to be difficult. Make use of our bike leasing scheme and do some good for the climate at the same time. We’ll give you a contribution of 10 euros a month for taking part. |
Discounted Rail Pass |
Employees at our Stuttgart office who make the eco-friendly choice to come to work by rail get a dis-counted company travel pass and a subsidy of 10 euros a month. You’re more than welcome to use your pass for private travel, too. |
Specials
Larissa Bauer works as a personnel officer at Werner Sobek and is, among other things, one of the first contacts for our newcomers. In this film, she talks about what she enjoys about her work and what surprised her.
Computer Glasses |
We think workplace ergonomics are important. That’s why you’ll receive a grant of 200 euros from us to buy a pair of computer glasses. |
Employee Referrals |
Know someone from your social circles who’d be a perfect fit for our company? We’d be delighted to hear about them. We’ll even give you a bonus if they join our team. |

We are looking for new pioneers!
Experience the Werner Sobek team spirit! Working independently is very important to us. The working hours adapt to the respective life situation and it is important to us that our employees feel comfortable in the company from day one. Our board member Stephen Hagenmayer, among others, explains how we do this.
